At Ziber we have been working on it for a while and now we can finally tell everyone; Kwieb will be the new name of the top-rated parent app in the Netherlands, and we've just revealed the name Kwieb in our Live Sprinter on YouTube. In the coming period we will replace the name Fiep everywhere with Kwieb.
Why a new name?
We haveKwiebthe name as an international brand name , which we did not succeed (well enough) with the name Fiep . As a result, we have better opportunities for the future and so we can also serve schools abroad with the Ziber platform .
Kwiebin every language from now on !
With the introduction of Kwieb , parents also get the opportunity to specify their own language preference . As a result, the parent app will work entirely in their language . Even if the school publishes a message in Dutch, Kwieb ensures that this message automatically reaches the parents in their own preferred language! Handy abroad, but certainly also useful in our multicultural Netherlands, so Kwieb helps all parents to stay involved in their child's education, even if they do not yet speak Dutch.
Privacy by dutch-design
Parents often have little influence on the choice of which parent app the educational institution will work with. That is why it is all the better that the parent in Kwieb has a lot of freedom of choice. And these freedom of choice are extended even more, so that Kwieb is even more in line with the wishes of the parent, and in this way the parent gets control over the things that she also has to have control over.
Is there anything else you can do?
The new name will be implemented everywhere at Ziber in the coming weeks. As a parent or as an educational institution, you do not have to do anything else (almost). We inform all users of the Ziber platform, the parent app will automatically update (and from that moment on be named Kwieb ) and the schools will soon receive a Kwiebpromotion package for school.
